The New York Giants officially waived LB Thurston Armbrister and WR Kaelin Clay from injured reserve and signed OT Jylan Ware to their practice squad.
The Giants’ practice squad now consists of:
- CB Grant Haley
- OLB Avery Moss
- WR Alonzo Russell
- RB Jhurell Pressley
- OT Victor Salako
- LB Ukeme Eligwe
- RBย Robert Martin
- OT Brian Milhalik
- WR Amba Etta-Tawo
- OT Jylan Ware
Clay, 26, is a former sixth-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2015. He was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but was later signed to the Bucs’ practice squad. After a brief stint with the Lions and the Ravens, Clay signed on with the Panthers last year.
Carolina elected to trade Clay andย a 2019ย seventh-round pick to the Bills in exchange forย CB Kevon Seymour. The Bills waived him in October and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Panthers.
Carolina declined to tender Clay a restricted offer, making him an unrestricted free agent. He signed on with the Bills in March but was among their final roster cuts and later claimed by the Giants.
In 2018, Clay has appeared in two games for the Giants.
