Giants Waive WR Kaelin Clay & LB Thurston Armbrister From IR

The New York Giants officially waived LB Thurston Armbrister and WR Kaelin Clay from injured reserve and signed OT Jylan Ware to their practice squad.

The Giants’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. CB Grant Haley
  2. OLB Avery Moss
  3. WR Alonzo Russell
  4. RB Jhurell Pressley
  5. OT Victor Salako
  6. LB Ukeme Eligwe
  7. RB Robert Martin
  8. OT Brian Milhalik
  9. WR Amba Etta-Tawo
  10. OT Jylan Ware

Clay, 26, is a former sixth-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2015. He was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but was later signed to the Bucs’ practice squad. After a brief stint with the Lions and the Ravens, Clay signed on with the Panthers last year.

Carolina elected to trade Clay and a 2019 seventh-round pick to the Bills in exchange for CB Kevon Seymour. The Bills waived him in October and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Panthers.

Carolina declined to tender Clay a restricted offer, making him an unrestricted free agent. He signed on with the Bills in March but was among their final roster cuts and later claimed by the Giants.

In 2018, Clay has appeared in two games for the Giants.
