Mike Garafolo of NFL Media is reporting that the Giants are waiving CB Donte Deayon on Tuesday.
According to Matt Lombardo, the Giants are promoting CB Grant Haley to their active roster.
Deayon, 24, wound up signing on with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of Boise State back in 2016. He was waived coming out of the preseason during his rookie year and later signed to the team’s practice squad.
New York brought Deayon back on a futures contract the following year, but he was once again added to their taxi squad after being cut at the start of the season. The Giants eventually promoted him to their active roster during the 2017 season and he managed to make the 53-man roster this year.
In 2018, Deayon has appeared in four games for the Giants and recorded six tackles, a fumble recovery and two pass defenses.
