Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings will have surgery to repair a rectus abdominal tear this week, per Weston Hodkiewicz of the Green Bay Press-Gazette.

โ€œMcCarthy wouldnโ€™t go into specifics, but said wide receiver Greg Jennings will have surgery for his rectus abdominal tear this week after having Tuesdayโ€™s orginal appointment in Philadelphia postponed because of Hurricane Sandy,โ€ Hodkiewicz wrote.

The postponement of the surgery should only delay Jenningsโ€™ return by a few days.  Jennings will likely be out three-to-six weeks following the surgery. Heโ€™s set to become a free agent at the end of the season, so heโ€™ll definitely be looking to have an impact upon returning to the field.
