Jaguars A “Viable Landing Spot” For Tim Tebow?

ESPN’s Adam Schefter mentioned on Wednesday’s NFL Live that the Jacksonville Jaguars areย “a viable landing spot” for Tim Tebow, per Evan Silva.

Jaguars ownerย Shad Khan reportedly wanted to acquireย Tebow back in March, but the team’s front officeย apparentlyย felt different about the idea.

Now that several reports have mentioned that Tebow is not willing to sit behind Greg McElroy as the team’s backup for the remainder of the season, it at least makes some sense that they would consider cutting him loose seeing as they would only incurย a โ€œminimalโ€ cap hit for doing so, according to Manish Mehta.

The Rams were mentioned as another possibility due to their reported interest in Tebow last year, but it’s worth not that they had Josh McDaniels at that point in time.ย McDaniels took Tebow in the first-round some years ago, so it makes sense that would view him as aย salvageableย talent, even if the general consensus is otherwise.
