Jaguars No Longer Signing CB Darqueze Dennard

The Jacksonville Jaguars will no longer be signing CB Darqueze Dennard to a contract, as they were not able to come to an agreement on the final contract terms, according to Mark Long

Dennard was reportedly signing a three-year, $13.5 million deal that included $6 million guaranteed with the Jaguars. However, it appears as though there was a serious hold up that led to the deal falling through.

Dennard wound up being placed on the PUP list last year after undergoing a knee scope. However, he returned to the team in the second half of the season.

Dennard, 28, was taken with the No. 24 overall pick by the Bengals back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $7.978 million contract before the Bengals picked up his fifth-year option for the 2018 season.

Dennard made $8,526,000 million in 2018 before returning to the Bengals on a one year, $4.5 million contract last year.

In 2019, Dennard appeared in nine games for the Bengals and recorded 37 tackles, no interceptions and five pass defenses.
