Jaguars Preparing RB Rashad Jennings For An Increased Workload?

According to Vito Stellino of the Florida Times Union, Jaguars RB Rashad Jennings will see more first-team reps now that Maurice Jones-Drew appears to be willing to skip OTAs this offseason.

Jones-Drew is obviously concerned about his contract and realizes that he currently has the leverage to force the team to at least explore the idea. The fact that Jennings is coming off of a knee injury that cost him the entire 2011 season only helps Jones-Drew further, but the Jaguars have to be concerned about the workload of their star running back. Jennings figures to see more work than ever this season, but he’ll have to be both healthy and effective for them to consider him as a viable long term option, even in a rotation.
