Jaguars Release P Brad Nortman

The Jacksonville Jaguars have released veteran P Brad Nortman on Monday, according to Mike Kaye.

Jacksonville used a seventh-round pick on P Logan Cooke last weekend, so it was possible that this move could be coming.

Nortman, 28, is a former sixth-round pick of the Panthers back in 2012. He’s played out his rookie contract with the Panthers before signing on with the Jaguars in 2016.

Nortman was in the third year of his four-year, $8.8 million contract and set to make base salaries of $2.25 million over the final two years of the agreement.

In 2017, Nortman appeared in all 16 games for the Jaguars and totaled 3,607 yards son 87 attempts (41.45 YPA) to go along with nine touchbacks.
