Jaguars Scheduling Interview With Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy

According to Josina Anderson, the Jaguars are working on scheduling an interview with Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy for their head coaching job.

Bieniemy is one of the top candidates this coaching cycle. He’s already interviewed for the Falcons position and is set to interview for a number of other vacancies. 

Here’s the updated list of candidates linked to the Jaguars’ job:

  • Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy (Requested)
  • Titans offensive coordinator Arthur Smith (Requested)
  • 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh (Requested)
  • Falcons interim HC Raheem Morris (Requested)
  • Former OSU HC Urban Meyer

Bieniemy, 51, played 10 seasons in the NFL for the Chargers, Bengals and Eagles before retiring in 1999. His NFL coaching career began in 2006 when he took over as the Vikings’ RBs coach.

The Chiefs hired him for the same position in 2013 and he was later promoted to offensive coordinator.
