ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that theย Jaguars have agreed to a one-year deal with former Raiders C Stefen Wisniewski.
- Aaron Wilson reports thatย Wisniewski’s one-year deal with the Jaguars is worthย $2.5 million.
- The agreement includes aย $1.25 million salary, a $500,000 signing bonus, and $500,000 inย play-time incentives.
- Beyond that, Wisniewski will make $15,625 in per-game roster bonuses.
- The contract includes an injury waiver.
Many expected toย Wisniewski to be among the most sought after offensive linemen in this year’s free agent class, but he unfortunatelyย recovering from offseason shoulder surgery after playing with a torn labrum last year.
Even so, a number of teams showed interest inย Wisniewski including theย Seahawks and Buccaneers withย the Bears, Patriots, and Rams.
Wisniewski, 25, played outย his four-year, $4,135,402 rookie contract andย is,ย arguably,ย the best center stillย available in this year’s market.
Oakland used aย second-round pick onย Wisniewski back in 2011 and he has gone on top appear in 61ย out of 64 total games. Pro Football Focus has him down for playing 1041ย snaps this season and rates his as the No. 22ย center out of 41 qualifying players.
