Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports that the Jaguars are trying hard to close a deal with DE Robert Ayers.
- However, Ayers also has interest from the Buccaneers and Dolphins should he depart.
Ayers, 30, is coming off of his best season in the NFL and is among the best defensive ends in this year’s free agent class.
In 2015, Ayers appeared in 12 games and recorded 41 tackles, nine sacks, two forced fumbles and four pass defenses for the Giants.
