Jaguars WR Marqise Lee Suffers Sprained Ankle, But No Fractures

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Jaguars WR Marqise Lee suffered a sprained ankle during Sunday’s game, but the good news is that X-rays did not show any fractures.

According to Schefter, Lee is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of the injury.

Lee was taken to the locker room during the first quarter and ruled out for the game coming out of halftime.

Lee, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2014. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $5,174,016 contract and stands to make a base salary of $1,125,549 for the 2017 season before becoming an unrestricted free agent in 2018.

In 2017, Lee has appeared in 13 games and caught 56 passes for 702 yards receiving and three touchdowns for the Jaguars. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 30 receiver out of 115 qualifying players.

We’ll have more regarding Lee’s injury as the news is available.
