Jets Bring In OL Mike Brewster For A Tryout Friday

Rich Cimini of ESPN New York reports that the Jets brought in former Jaguars OL Mike Brewster for a tryout on Friday.

Brewster, 25, signed on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of Ohio State back in 2012. Had he come out following his 2011 season, there was talk that he could have been the No. 1 center to come off the board, but a disappointing senior season forced him to drop out of the draft all together.

Brewster wound up appearing in 25 games during his first two years in the NFL. However, he struggled mightily and suffered injuries that led to him being placed on season-ending injured reserved in back-to-back years.

We’ll have to see if anything comes of his visit with the New York.
