Jets Claim TE Arthur Lynch Off Waivers From Dolphins

The New York Jets announced that they’ve claimed TE Arthur Lynch off of waivers from the Miami Dolphins on Tuesday.

  • The Jets waived punter Jake Schum to make room for their new addition.

Lynch, 25, was the Dolphins fifth round pick from last year and has another three years remaining on his four-year, $2.4 million rookie contract. He stands to make a base salary of $435,000 for the 2015 season.

The Dolphins cut him loose on Monday to free up a roster spot for LB James Davidson, who was signed to a contract.

Last year, Lynch was unfortunately placed on season-ending injured reserve right before the start of the season with a back injury.
