Jets Complete Interview With Saints Exec. Terry Fontenot For GM Job

The New York Jets announced Saturday that they’ve completed an interview with Saints director of pro scouting Terry Fontenot for their general manager position.

The Jets have officially interested two candidates for the job and are scheduled to meet with Eagles VP of player personnel Joe Douglas tonight and into tomorrow.

Bears executive Champ Kelly is also in the mix for the job, but the expectation is that Douglas is the front runner right now.

Fontenot has been with the Saints for the past 16 seasons, including six as the director of pro scouting and seven as a pro scout.

Fontenot played four years as a safety at Tulane. He graduated with a degree in business and organizational information technology and got his start with the Saints shortly after.
