Jets Lose Kris Jenkins For The Season

New York Jets defensive tackle Kris Jenkins suffered an ACL tear in his knee during last nights game against the Ravens. This news comes from the NFL Networks Jason La Canfora.

Rex Ryan commented on the situation by saying, “Obviously that’s a huge blow for us. I just feel bad for Kris.”

Jenkins said that he considered retirement last season after suffering a similar ACL injury. This would be an unfortunate end to Jenkins career.

Jenkins is and has been one of the Jets best defensive line players for years, so his loss will have to be accounted for some how.  The team has already lost Ropati Pitoitua for the season so they have limited depth on the defensive line. Albert Haynesworth is available but an unlikely option because of his disdain for the 3-4 defense and his large salary.
