Jets No Longer In The Running For CB Adam Jones

Manish Mehta reports that the Jets are no longer in the running for Bengals free agent CB Adam Jones

A previous reported mentions that New York had expressed interest in Jones, but it appears as though the price may have driven them out.

Jones reportedly has a deep market consisting of the Browns, Ravens, Dolphins, Raiders, Cowboys, and Vikings, so it will be interesting to see what kind of contract he ends up securing in the next few days.

Jones, 32, played out his three-year contract with the Bengals and will be an unrestricted free agent in the coming months. Despite his age, Jones has actually played pretty well for the Bengals, so it will be interesting to see where he ends up.

In 2015, Jones appeared in 14 games for the Bengals and recorded 62 tackles, one sack, three interceptions, a forced fumble and 12 pass defenses. He also contributed 235 kick return yards and 179 punt return yards. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 16 cornerback out of 118 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Top 100 – 2016 Free Agents list.
