Jets Place WR ArDarius Stewart On PS Injured List, Sign WR Deontay Burnett

The New York Jets announced Tuesday that they’ve placed WR ArDarius Stewart on the practice squad injured list and signed WR Deontay Burnett.

The Jets’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. S Brandon Bryant
  2. CB Jeremy Clark
  3. C Nico Falah
  4. RB De’Angelo Henderson
  5. OT Diegot Joseph
  6. DL Bronson Kaufusi
  7. LB Anthony Wint
  8. QB Davis Webb
  9. OL Ben Braden
  10. WR ArDarius Stewart (injured)
  11. WR Deontay Burnett

Stewart, 24, is a former third-round pick of Jets back in 2017. He was in the second year of his four-year, $3.25 million contract and set to make base salaries of $592,500 and $688,750 over the next two years of the agreement when the Jets waived him a few days ago.

The Jets actually had to a roster exemption for Stewart before they cut him loose after he completed his two-game suspension for violating the league’s PED policy and he later re-signed to their practice squad.

In 2017, Stewart appeared in 15 games for the Jets and caught just six passes for 82 yards receiving and no touchdowns. He also rushed for 27 yards and contributed 173 kick return yards on special teams.
