The New York Jets announced that they’ve promoted S Ronald Martin to their active roster and waived DL T.J. Barnes.

Barnes, 25, originally signed on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia Tech back in 2013. He lasted just a few months with the Jaguars before he later caught on with Jets. New York elected to bring him back on a future/reserve contract last December.
This season, Barnes has appeared in six games and recorded three tackles and a pass defense for the Jets.
