Jets Promote TE Braedon Bowman To Active Roster, Cut FB Julian Howsare

The Jets promoted TE Braedon Bowman to their active roster on Thursday and waived FB Julian Howsare, according to Field Yates.

Bowman, 22, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of South Alabama back in May. He was unfortunately cut loose by the Jaguars, as they got their roster down to 53 players.

The Jets elected to claim him off of waivers the following day before cutting him loose earlier in the week to free up a roster spot for DE Sheldon Richardson, who has been activated from the reserve/suspended list.

New York just recently signed him to their practice squad.

During his college career at South Alabama, Bowman caught 29 passes for 381 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
