Jets Release WR Dwight Jones

The New York Jets announced the release of WR Dwight Jones on Monday.

The Jets signed Jones to their practice squad back in December and it wasn’t long after that they signed him to a reserve/future contract.

Jones, 25, wound up going undrafted out North Carolina back in 2012. He would later sign on with the Texans, but surprisingly informed the team that he no longer wanted to pursue a career in the NFL.

Houston wound up placing him on the reserve list before releasing him outright in June of last year.

He has yet to appear in an NFL game.
