According to Pro Football Talk, the New York Jets have signed free agent S Yeremiah Bell to a one-year deal worth $1.4 million.
Bell was reportedly deciding between the Eagles and Jets, but ultimately chose to go with a team that could really use some extra depth at the position next year.
At 34 years old, it’s hard to say what Bell has left at this point, but for the Jets, he’s probably worth taking a chance on. He’ll most likely get the opportunity to compete for the team’s starting free safety position, which is currently held by Eric Smith.
