Adam Schefter reports that the Jets and Ryan Fitzpatrick have agreed on a one-year, $12 million contract that’s fully guaranteed.

This news comes just minutes afterย Ian Rapoportย reported that contract talks were heating up betweenย the Jets andย Fitzpatrick.
The two sides were expected to push for an agreement before the start of training camp on Thursday, and it looks like they managed to get it done in time.
Fitzpatrick will get one more opportunity to boost his value before testing the open market again in 2017.
Fitzpatrick, 32, played outย the final year of his two-year, $7.5 million contractย that includedย $4 million guaranteed and wasย theย best quarterback stillย available in this yearโs market.
In 2015, Fitzpatrick threwย for 3,905 yards while completing 59.6ย percent of his passes to go along with 31ย touchdowns and 15 interceptions. Pro Football Focus has Fitzpatrick rated as the No. 27 quarterback out of 37 qualifying players.
