Jets Sign Waive RB Mario Harvey & CB Greg Henderson

The New York Jets announced Friday that they’ve signed CB Greg Henderson to a contract and placed RB Mario Harvey on waivers to make room for him.

Harvey, 27, originally signed on with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of back in 2011. He lasted just a few months with the team before he was cut and later signed with the Colts.

After being waived with an injury settlement in October of last year, the Jets later signed him to a future/reserve contract in December.

According to OverTheCap.com, releasing Harvey will free up $660,000 in available cap space while creating no dead money.

In 2014, Harvey appeared in three games, but didn’t record a single statistic.

As for Henderson, he wound up going undrafted out of Colorado last week.
