The Jets are dealing with injuries and off-the-field issues in regards to their receiver position, so it can’t hurt to bring in a player like Wilson, who offers some upside, for training camp.
Wilson, 24, is a former seventh-round pick of the Bears back in 2013. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2.208 million rookie contractย and had been testing the open market for the first time in his NFL career.
In 2016, Wilson appeared in three games for the Bears and recorded just nine receptions for 160 yards receiving and one touchdown.
We had him featured in ourย Top 50 Available Free Agents list.
