Jets Sticking With Ryan Fitzpatrick At QB For Week 13

Jets HC Todd Bowles told reporters on Monday that they will start Ryan Fitzpatrick at quarterback for their Week 13 matchup with the Colts.

Bowles added that there will be a time and place for Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg to play, but they won’t make a change this week.

Fitzpatrick did play much better against the Patriots this past weekend. However, he did lose a fumble late in the game that sealed the win for New England.

Fitzpatrick, 33, wound up signing a one-year, $12 million contract that’s fully guaranteed with the Jets after a prolonged stalemate that cost him most nearly all of the offseason workouts. He’ll be an unrestricted free agent next year.

In 2016, Fitzpatrick has appeared in nine games and completed 57.6 percent of his passes for 2,252 yards to go along with 10 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 31 quarterback out of 35 qualifying players.
