Jets Tried Out Four Players

The New York Jets brought in four free agents for tryouts on Friday, according to Manish Mehta. 

The full list includes:

1. K Sergio Castillo
2. K Lirim Hajrullahu 
3. DT Kobe Smith
4. DT Tanzel Smart

Smart, 25, was a sixth-round pick out of Tulane back in 2017. He was entering the final year of his four-year, $2.56 million rookie contract and set to make a base salary of $735,000 for the 2020 season when the Rams waived him in May. 

Smart later signed on to the Browns’ practice squad for a few weeks. 

In 2019, Smart appeared in 13 games for the Rams and recorded seven tackles.
