Ravens RB Ray Rice mentioned that Joe Flacco will be the focal point of the team’s offense this season.
“In pecking order, this is Joe’s offense, then everybody else,” Rice explained, via the Baltimore Sun. “And he’s proven that this preseason with how he’s played, his tempo, how vocal he is, and the quiet Joe phase is pretty much over.”
There has been a lot of talk about the Ravens new hurry-up offense this season, so it shouldn’t be much of a surprise to hear that the team has big plans for Flacco this season. In year’s past, the Ravens would lean on Rice’s ability to not only gain yardage on the ground, but in the passing game. Flacco now has the support of his coaching staff and a new contract to play for this season.
