Kevin Kolb Out 6-8 Weeks With Multiple Injuries

Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic reports that Cardinals QB Kevin Kolb is expected to be out for “at least 6-8 weeks” while he recovers from a sprained sternoclavicular joint, three detached ribs and a sprained shoulder joint.

John Skelton will obviously replace him this weekend, but the fact that he could be out until the middle of December suggests that the Cardinals could eventually decide to place him on injured reserve with the designation to return if they are in need of adding some to a particular position.

While Kolb has had a history of injuries, it’s hard to blame him for getting hurt when Arizona’s offensive line is in as bad of shape as it currently is.
