Kevin Kolb Trade Destinations

Since Michael Vick is playing out of his mind in recent weeks, a Kevin Kolb trade could be on the way this offseason. Here is a list of teams that are in need quarterback help.

Arizona Cardinals

There hasn’t been a whole lot of production out of the Cardinals offense this season and a good deal of their lackluster play could have something to do with the struggles of Derek Anderson and Max Hall. The Cardinals have already been rumored to be an option for Donovan McNabb if the Washington Redskins decide to opt-out of his new contract.

Buffalo Bills

Despite the emergence of Ryan Fitzpatrick, it would be surprising to see them pass on possible quarterback options. The Bills could look to the upcoming draft for a new quarterback but Kolb has shown enough promise to justify parting with some draft picks. The Bills will end up with a top-five draft pick so they may not want to pay the premium price tag that comes with drafting a quarterback in the top five.

Carolina Panthers

The Panthers drafted Jimmy Clausen during this years draft but he has been unable to produce in the fewย opportunitiesย that he has been given. Trading for Kolb would give them a better option than Matt Moore or Brain St. Pierre. This doesn’t seem like the most likely destination for Kolb but it remains aย possibility.

Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings quarterback position seems like it’s Tarvaris Jackson’s to inherit but that doesn’t mean that the team pass on the chance to add depth at the most important position on the field. The good news is that the Vikings have some excellent weapons in place with Adrian Peterson, Percy Harvin, and Sidney Rice which is why Kolb makes a good deal of sense for the team. If only they had that third-round pick that they traded to New England for Randy Moss.

Oakland Raiders

The Raiders have been known to make deals that other teams are reluctant to make. Bruce Gradkowski will be a free agent at the end of the season so the Raiders may want to add some depth either behind or in front of Jason Campbell.

San Francisco 49ers

Considering that Troy Smith has filled in pretty well for the team this season, it’s not all that likely that he will be the teams No. 1 option come next season. Pulling the trigger on a deal for Kolb could be the second big move this offseason after they replace Mike Singletary.

Seattle Seahawks

Despite dealing for Charlie Whitehurst during the offseason, the team will have some big decisions to make regarding the quarterback position. Matt Hasselbeck will be a free agent at the end of the year and there is no chance that Pete Carroll will stick with just Whitehurst. The Seahawks have been one of the more active teams when it comes to making trades so ruling out a deal for Kolb is premature.
