Kevin O’Connell Candidate For Offensive Coordinator Jobs With Rams, Eagles, & Browns

According to ESPN’s Jeremey Fowler, former Redskins OC Kevin O’Connell has been linked to the Browns and Eagles’ offensive coordinator vacancies and is a “strong candidate” for the Rams’ coordinator job as well.

Yesterday, Tim McManus of ESPN mentioned that O’Connell and former Lions HC Jim Caldwell are two names to watch for the Eagles’ offensive coordinator vacancy.

The Redskins reportedly liked O’Connell and the work he did with rookie QB Dwayne Haskins. However, new Redskins HC Ron Rivera made the decision to move on and hired Scott Turner as his replacement.

O’Connell, 34, is a former third-round pick of the Patriots back in 2008. After five years in the NFL, O’Connell was hired by the Browns as their quarterbacks coach in 2015.

O’Connell spent one year with the 49ers before the Redskins hired him as their quarterbacks coach in 2017. He was promoted to passing game coordinator last year.
