Latest Regarding Chiefs’ GM Search

According to Terez A. Paylor, “there’s a growing belief among league types” that the Chiefs will end up promoting from within to replace former GM John Dorsey.

Although, Paylor admits that this could always change, as owner Clark Hunt plans to be thorough with the interview process.

Tim McCormick of TitanInsider.com reports that Brett Veach and ESPN analyst Louis Riddick appear to be the strongest candidates right now for Chiefs’ GM vacancy, given that both have ties to HC Andy Reid, who now reportedly holds more power within the team.

The Chiefs have scheduled interviews with Seahawks executive Scott Fitterer and Titans director of player personnel Ryan Cowden this week. Co-director of player personnel Mike Borgonzi is another candidate for the position.

It’s worth mentioning that Riddick denied a report that the Chiefs have contacted him about their GM vacancy.

We’ll have more regarding the Chiefs’ GM search as the news is available.
