LeGarrette Blount “Would Not Be Happy” With The Buc’s Drafting Trent Richardson

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been rumored to have interest in Alabama RB Trent Richardson, whom they could take with the #5 overall pick. While that move might seem like a huge addition to their backfield, current starting RB LeGarrette Blount doesn’t seem to be all that pleased with the idea.

Will Brinson of CBSSports.com recently asked Blount about the idea to which he responded, “I would not like that pick. I would definitely not be happy with that pick.”

Brinson adds that Blount doesn’t want to be a Brandon Jacobs-type player” and would prefer to be a featured back in the year’s to come.

While that may be his preference, I’m sure that Buccaneers will take not of his comments.

Blount was rather disappointing last season after rushing for just over 700 yards.  If Richardson falls to then at #5, you would have to think that they would give strong consideration to taking him.
