Eagles RB Bryce Brown To Start Against The Panthers

Jeff McLane tweets that Eagles HC Andy Reid said that RB LeSean McCoy is still in Phase 1 of his recovery from a concussion.

The Eagles have already confirmed that RB Bryce Brown will be handling the team’s workload against the Panthers. McCoy status for Week 13 against the Cowboys is in doubt.

Geoff Mosher reports that Eagles RB LeSean McCoy is still dealing with headaches days after suffering a concussion against the Redskins last week.

At this point, it’s safe to suggest that McCoy is doubtful at best for Monday’s game against the Panthers. Bryce Brown is expected to fill in and handle the workload this week.

Eagles running back LeSean McCoy suffered a concussion in the final minutes of yesterday’s blowout loss to the Redskins and is causing some to wonder why was McCoy playing at that junction in the game?

“I don’t regret it. It happened,” Reid answered, via Jeff McClane of the Philadelphia Enquirer. “Do I wish he wouldn’t have been hurt? Yeah, I do. I wish he wouldn’t have been hurt.”

McCoy is in stage one of his concussion protocol and dealing with a headache, per Geoff Mosher. His symptoms aren’t as severe as teammate Michael Vick‘s and Reid said he’s day-to-day, but it seems unlikely that he’ll play Monday night against the Panthers as the Eagles would want to use caution with McCoy. The Eagles will turn to backup running back Bryce Brown to fill in for McCoy.
