Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Lions brought in DE Nate Orchard for a tryout on Thursday.
Orchard, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Browns back in 2015. He was in the final year of his four-year, $4.466 million contract when the Browns elected to cut him loose coming out of the preseason last year.
Orchard had a brief stint with the Bills before signing on with the Chiefs. Unfortunately, Kansas City waived him a month later and he eventually signed on with the Seahawks in April.
After he was released by Seattle, Orchard signed on with the Dolphins in May. However, Miami released him in recent days.
In 2018, Orchard appeared in four games for the Bills and Chiefs and recorded four tackles, no sacks and a pass defense.
We have him featured in our Top 50 Available Free Agents list.
