Lions DT Haloti Ngata Expected To Miss 2-3 Weeks With Shoulder Injury

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Lions DT Haloti Ngata is expected to miss 2-3 weeks after he left Sunday’s game with a shoulder injury.

Rapoport adds that Ngata is still undergoing more tests right now, but he is expected to miss some time.

Ngata, 32, is a former first-round pick of the Ravens back in 2006. He spent nine years in Baltimore before he was traded to the Lions last year.

Ngata is in the first year of his two-year, $12 million contract that includes $6 million guaranteed and he’s set to make a base salary of $2 million for the 2016 season.

In 2016, Ngata has appeared in five games and recorded nine tackles, 1.5 sacks, and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 58 interior defensive lineman out of 111 qualifying players.
