Lions Hosting QBs Kyle Sloter, Tyree Jackson For Workout

According to Tom Pelissero, the Lions are hosting former Vikings QB Kyle Sloter for a workout.

Per Pelissero, Detroit will also work out former Bills QB Tyree Jackson, signed as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Buffalo this year.

Sloter was just waived by the Vikings and passed through waivers unclaimed. Pelissero adds the third-year passer still has practice squad eligibility.

Sloter, 25, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Northern Colorado back in 2017. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when the Broncos cut him loose.

Sloter passed through waivers unclaimed and signed on with the Vikings’ practice squad. He was signed to the active roster shortly after in September.

Minnesota elected to waive Sloter during final roster cuts this year.

Sloter has yet to appear in an NFL game.

During his four-year college career, Sloter recorded 198 completions on 320 attempts (61.9 percent) for 2,656 yards, 29 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions.
