The Detroit Lions have announced that they have placed RB Jahvid Best on the season-ending reserve/PUP.
Best has dealt with post-concussion syndrome for awhile now, so this move doesn’t come as huge surprise, but there are questions regarding his future in the NFL. Last week, there were reports that team doctors were reluctant to clear Best because they didn’t “want to be responsible for him.”
Given the serious nature of his situation, it seems like there’s at least a decent chance that he never plays in the NFL again.
