Lions Re-Sign DT Andre Fluellen, Waive CB Danny Gorrer

The Detroit Lions signed DT Andre Fluellen to their active roster Monday and placed CB Danny Gorrer on waivers to make room for him, according to Tim Twentyman.

Fluellen, 29, is a former third-round pick of the Lions back in 2008. He spent six seasons with Detroit before he was cut loose this past August as the team trimmed their roster down to 53 players before the start of the regular season.

Last year, Fluellen appeared in 13 games for Detroit, but recorded just three tackles and played a total of 170 snaps, according to Pro Football Focus.

Gorrer, 28, has appeared in six games this season recording seven tackles and two pass defenses for the Lions’ defense.
