Lions S Tavon Wilson Takes A Pay Cut

According to ESPN’s Field Yates, Detroit Lions S Tavon Wilson has agreed to a pay cut from $2.15 million to $1 million.

Wilson re-signed with the Lions last year on a two-year, $7 million deal.

Wilson, 29, is a former second-round pick of the Patriots back in 2012. He played out his rookie deal with New England before signing a two-year, $2.2 million contract with the Lions in 2017.

In 2018, Wilson appeared in 15 games for the Lions, totaling 35 tackles, one sack and no passes defensed.  Pro Football Focus rated him as the No. 46 safety out of 93 qualifying players.
