The Detroit Lions signed OT J.B. Shugarts to a contract on Thursday, according to the NFL Transactions release.
Shugarts, 24, signed with the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent out of Ohio State back in 2012. He would later join the Cowboys and Jets, but he was ultimately released by New York in September of last year.
He’ll have to compete for a roster spot in training camp this year.
