Seahawks Optimistic That Marshawn Lynch Will Play This Weekend

Danny O’Neil of ESPN 710 Seattle mentions that the Seahawks will start Robert Turbin if Marshawn Lynch is unable to play on Sunday.

Head coach Pete Carroll seemed to be optimistic that Lynch will be available this weekend, despite the fact that he has been hampered by back spams.

“He took a real good turn this week,” Carroll said on Wednesday. “And the rehab that he has been doing has really been effective so we think he’s going to be fine.”

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Seahawks are “uncertain” whether or not RB Marshawn Lynch will be able to play Week 1’s match up against the Arizona Cardinals.

Lynch is reportedly dealing with back spams and appears to be a game-time decision this weekend. Seattle has already said that rookie RB Robert Turbin was going to see some playing time, even with a healthy Lynch, but he could be in line for a solid workload if Lynch is out. Fantasy owners should take note and monitor the situation throughout the week.
