Maurice Jones-Drew Still “A Few Weeks” From Returning

Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew mentioned that he’s still “a few weeks” away from returning.

That’s pretty much the general answer without getting in trouble,” Jones-Drew said, via the Florida Times Union.

Jones-Drew’s foot injury has held him out of a number of weeks this season, but it is disappointing that he’s not closer to rejoining his teammates on the field, given that he was targeting a Week 13 return. It looks like the earliest he could be back is in Week 14.

Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey told reporters that RB Maurice Jones-Drew is not expected to play against the Titans this weekend, per John Glennon.

Jones-Drew mentioned earlier in the week that he’s hoping to be back in time for Week 13’s matchup. Jalen Parmele will fill in for the time being, as Rashad Jennings has been demoted after numerous poor performances this season.
