Josina Anderson of ESPN spoke to Dolphins WR Mike Wallace about his current situation with the Dolphins.
On if he is happy with playing for the Miami Dolphins:
“Yeah I am happy. It is a nice place to play football, so yes I am happy.”
On if coming to Miami has been what he has expected?
“Yes for the most part.”
On whether Wallace is open to a pay cut or restructuring his deal if asked:
ย โLike I said I am willing to help out the team, but at the same time Iโm not about to do nothing crazy either. Iโll definitely help the team out, but it has to be reasonableโwhat I feel is reasonable.โ
On what he feels is reasonable:
“I donโt know. I have to see what exactly what my agent and the team is talking about and whatever I feel is reasonable. Itโs not set like this is what it is. If we come to an agreement, Iโm with it. Like I said, Iโm not about to do something too crazy. I still have a family that comes first.”
On if heโs communicated a pay cut limit:
“Not really because whatever the deal is going to be, itโs going to be to where I get my money back. It’s not going to be like I just take a cut and thatโs what it is. No, it’s not going to be like that. If it is a restructure, (there’s) going to have to be ways I can earn my money back.”
Wallace on if he feels what happened in regular season finale will impact his status:
“Honestly I feel like we are really past that point. Itโs not even really about that anymore. I think we are pretty much past that. Obviously, that can come into some decisions I guess, but for the most part I feel like we are pretty much past that.”

If I was mike Wallace, I’d be packing my suitcase, with all the veterans Miami is releasing. I am betting Miami is going to bring in a lot of young players this year.
