NFC East Notes: Cowboys, Eagles, Redskins

Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott at says that WR Amari Cooperseems like he kind of was the missing piece” to their offense.

It seems like he kind of was the missing piece, just because when he got here this offense started rolling,” Elliott said, via the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “It’s great having him. He’s a phenomenal player. He’s going to have a great future here.

  • On Wednesday, Eagles HC Doug Pederson said of WR Golden Tate: “There’s going to be a learning curve. Understands scheme of routes but needs to know how we run it. Spent a lot of time learning. Offense didn’t get enough snaps Sunday to spread ball around.” (Les Bowen)
  • Eagles QB Carson Wentz said that he didn’t agree with Pederson’s comments that he was “pressing” in their Week 11 loss to the Saints, while he also disagreed with Eagles OC Mike Groh recently admitting that it has been a “challenge” to get Tate integrated into the offense. (Jeff McLane)
