Cowboys
- Calvin Watkins of Dallas Morning News reports that the Cowboys have met with the agents of QB Dak Prescott and WR Amari Cooper for the second time since the combine ended. However, both sides are waiting for a new potential CBA to be signed.
-
A source told Watkins that the Cowboys previously offered Prescott an average salary of $33 million with a guaranteed contract of $105 million. The potential contract details for Cooper remain unknown, but Watkins says he is seeking one of the largest contracts for a wide receiver.
-
If Dallas canโt re-sign Prescott or Cooper, they have until March 12th to franchise tag and/or transition tag either player. If a new CBA is in place by March 12th, the Cowboys will only have the ability to place an exclusive franchise tag on Prescott.
Eagles
- Mike Kaye of NJ Advance Media names three affordable impending free-agents to keep an eye on for the Eagles this offseason including Titans WR Tajae Sharpe, Broncos DB Will Parks and Packers LB B.J. Goodson.
Redskins
Redskins HC Ron Rivera said that they will try to re-sign both free-agent guards Ereck Flowers and Brandon Scherff this offseason.
“Weโre going to try to bring both guards back,โ Rivera said, via JP Finlay of NBC Sports.
Rivera said he is hopeful to figure out their offensive line, but expects “four of the five” returning starters, while Trent Williams remains a “looming question.”
โOnce we get that situation figured out, we will have four of the five (starters) that we know whatโs going to happen. Then again, the looming question will always be Trent,” said Rivera.
