NFC East Notes: Dak Prescott, Cowboys, Giants

Dak Prescott

As for Cowboys QB Dak Prescott, he also said he’s not focused on his contract situation and is confident he will be with Dallas “for a long time.

“It’s a blessing just to be in this position,” said Prescott, via Jon Machota. “But as far as the (contract) numbers are concerned, my focus is on the locker room. I know it will get taken care of, so it is what it is. …I want to be a Cowboy. I’m pretty sure that I’ll be a Cowboy for a long time.”

Prescott reiterated that he wants to spend his career with the Cowboys and is in “no rush” to finalize a contract.

I mean I want to be a Cowboy forever,” Prescott said, via Todd Archer. “I think the people that are doing the deal feel the same way so to me it’s no rush. I know it will get done.”

Cowboys

Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott said he is not concerned with his contract situation and is focused on playing football.

No concerns,” said Elliott, via Calvin Watkins of The Athletic. “Just go out and play football and do what I’ve been doing.”
