NFC Notes: 49ers, Packers, Vikings

49ers

• Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer mentions 49ers DC Robert Saleh as someone who could draw head coaching interest this offseason. 
• The 49ers will be able to bring back two of the four players they have currently on injured reserve, including DL Kentavius Street, CB Jason Verrett, WR Jalen Hurd and WR Trent Taylor. (Matt Barrows)
• 49ers HC Kyle Shanahan mentioned Verrett (knee) and Hurd (back) as two potential candidates since both just need rest. (Matt Maiocco)
• Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reports that the 49ers in the mix to trade for OLB Khalil Mack last year, but the Raiders believed the Bears would end up having the higher pick. 

Packers

• Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reports that the 49ers in the mix to trade for OLB Khalil Mack last year. Green Bay was reportedly offering their two 2019 first-round picks in a deal for Mack, but the Raiders opted for the Bears’ deal because they felt the picks would be higher. 

Vikings

• Vikings WR Stefon Diggs told reporters after Sunday’s game that he just wants to win: “I’m a team guy. I’m here. I want to win.” (Chad Graff)
• Diggs confirmed that he was fined and feels he should have communicated better: “I got fined. I feel like I should have communicated better. Like I told y’all, I was sick. I’m willing to accept every penalty and every consequence that comes with it. I should have communicated better.” (Courtney Cronin)
• Diggs says he never wanted to a trade out of Minnesota: “Nah. That’s why with the conversation I got fined I feel like I should have communicated better like I told you I was sick I’m willing to accept every penny of every consequence that comes with it I should have communicated better.” (Chris Tomasson)
• Regarding his relationship with the Vikings, Diggs said it was never an issue: “It was never not good. Outside people got things a little shaky but at this point I’m a team guy, I’m here and I want to win.” (Courtney Cronin)
• Vikings RB Dalvin Cook tells Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk that all of the outside noise “brought us together more” this week: “Guys rallied around each other. We all knew it. You can’t run from the noise.”
