Buccaneers GM Jason Licht mentioned during an interview with Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times that RB Doug Martin โwasnโt ever the sameโ after returning from suspension this year.
โI think the lack of, or having a hard time getting the run game going was โฆ you know, Doug just didnโt have โฆ he just wasnโt ever the same,โ Licht said. โAnd it wasnโt until late that Peyton [Barber] kind of arrived and things started going a little bit better with him, starting with the Green Bay game and on and on.โ
Cardinals
- Ian Rapoport mentions that if the Cardinals end up hiring Steelers OL coach Mike Munchak as their next head coach, one name to watch for his staff is Steelers OC Todd Haley, whoโs currently a free agent.

Saints veteran RT Zach Strief (injured reserve, ACL/MCL) told reporters on Tuesday that he plans to take some time to determine whether heโll return for the 2018 season or possibly retire.
โObviously thereโs part of you that says, โMaybe itโs time,โโ Strief said, via Nick Underhill of the Advocate. โAnd thereโs part of you that says, โI donโt want to finish like that.โโ
- Nick Underhill reports that Saints DL Mitchell Loewen, who underwent surgery to repair his ankle earlier this season, is now healthy and running again.
- Saints DE Hauโoli Kikaha (ankle) said he is back to full health after being placed on season-ending injured reserve with an ankle injury. (Herbie Teope)

- Mike Garafolo reports that the Seahawks are hiring former Giants assistant Mike Solari as their new OL coach, replacing Tom Cable.
