NFC Notes: Falcons, Packers, Panthers, & Saints

Falcons

• Vaughn McClure reports that Falcons OLB Brooks Reed suffered a “minor” groin injury that could keep him sidelined for the start of OTAs next week.

Packers

• Rob Demovsky mentions that the Packers still have an open roster spot to add someone to their roster.

Panthers

• David Newton of ESPN expects Mike Remmers to begin the offseason as the Panthers’ starting right tackle.
• Newton believes Jonathan Martin or Nate Chandler could possibly move to left tackle and push Michael Oher for the starting job.
• Newton takes a stab at projecting the Panthers secondary, which he has as: CB Josh Norman, CB Charles Tillman, SS Roman Harper, FS Tre Boston and nickel CB Bene’ Benwikere.

Saints

• Even after the Saints drafted QB Garrett Grayson in Round 3, ESPN’s Mike Triplett believes Ryan Griffin has a “good chance” of winning the back up job this summer.
• In the end, New Orleans is likely to release either Griffin or Luke McCown.
• Triplett can see at least one of undrafted rookies Kaleb Eulls, Bobby Richardson, Tavaris Barnes and Ashaad Mabry making the 53-man roster.
• According to Triplett, undrafted rookie TEs Harold Spears and Jack Tabb have an opportunity to make the team as well.
